Philadelphia Social Innovations Journal is the first online publication to bring a public focus to social innovators and their nonprofit organizations, foundations and social sector businesses in the Greater Philadelphia area, to recognize their successes and encourage others around the country to strive for similar results. As a forum for the region’s foremost social innovators, the Journal shares their expertise, strategies and ideas about topics such as leadership, human capital and disruptive innovation.

I applaud the founders and investors for starting the Philadelphia Social Innovations Journal and creating a new social innovations movement in our region. The hardest job of a foundation executive is saying no to good ideas and programs and staying true to one's mission. The Journal is therefore a wonderful new venture that will help foundations leaders like me and others get exposed to great leaders and organizations, who are not on our radar because we may not we have funded them, but whose innovations and lessons, nevertheless, are important to our region and beyond.”

Susan Sherman, President, Independence Foundation
